KEEC

reflections

I really liked the stump community. I learned that a stump is a living/ dead thing. It is a living/dead thing because it is a dead thing with living creatures around it. Also the play I did about stumps was hilarious. Finally a stump is very good for telling you how old the tree was when it died.

These are the things I will remember: The KEEC staff, when I caught a freshwater clam, the hobo cookout, the game when I got to use the megaphone, the camp fire, last but not least the rock climbing wall.
I think the food at Keewaydin was AWESOME!!!! especially the Hobo cookout with burgers. The food had also been very nutritious and energizing for the whole day. Also the fiddleheads were mighty tasty, and easy to find. Finally nobody wasted too much at my table.
The week at Keewaydin helped me learn what a community even is. A community is a group of living organisms that work together to survive.
At camp I went rock climbing for the first time. It was a good experience for me. The top was a great view of the lake. Also the upside down part was COOL! Now rock climbing isn't scary to me at all.

When I learned what a community is, I was able to give a lot of examples, like the Portuguese man-of war. It has different animals that work together to survive as one big animal.
