Role Play

Out behind the high school today we dressed up like animals. We had to act like our animal in the winter. Being a bear was much harder than I thought. First we had to find a place to stay when we were sleeping and then we got some food. I would like to do something like that again. TW

Today we did animal role-play in the woods. If I were an animal. It would probably be challenging, looking out for all the predators, and keeping watch after myself. But other than that if I were to hide in the trees it would probably be a little easier to find a home. AM

I thought going in the woods and pretending to be a beaver was a lot of fun. I thought it was a little hard getting away from the coyote and the bear. If I was a beaver in real life I would be pretty scared of being eaten. I thought being a beaver was fun, exciting, and hard. My favorite parts were being chased, and finding my lodge. MR

I thought it was a great experience to be animals out in the woods. I was an Eastern chipmunk. It was hard to be so small. An animal's life can be very hard especially if you are a small animal. If you are a small animal then you have to look for food, and you have to look out for other animals that would hunt you. Being an animal can be tough but it was fun. BL

I went to the woods. I am a bobcat. I ate a lot of animals. AC was a bobcat and SLm was a skunk. I got really tired from chasing them. We even had a snowstorm. RB

My experience was that I got to be an animal. It was hard to find food and shelter. When I found food and shelter I could enjoy the time in the woods, except having to watch out for the animals that eat me. But in the end I wished it wasn't over. AD

I had to fight for my territory against bears (TW).

I wasn't even hungry because the bears were always banging in. I had fun. MR was watching. He was a beaver. I was a coyote. NL

My experience as an otter.

My partner and I were playing the role of an otter. We had to hunt, sleep and act like an otter. It was different from being a human. While I was being an otter a bobcat dug its way into our burrow. My partner CL and I fought the bobcat with our sharp teeth and claws. The bobcat went away, our teacher Mrs. Dolan would tell us when it would be morning, dusk, dawn, or at night. NT

The woods!

It is the home of a lot of animals.

They are adapted in so many ways.

The woods are a wonderful place.

The woods are helpful to everyone. Animals depend on each other.

Just like you and me.

They live with each other.
